Rules

In order to make Equitopia an enjoyable experience for all players, there are certain rules that must be abided by at all times.

1. NO inappropriate or explicit topics.
Inappropriate or explicit topics and behaviour is not permitted. This includes racial, religious, ethnic, political and overtly sexual themes. These subjects evoke strong, personal and differing views/beliefs/opinions and are often the catalyst for disputes/arguments. Therefore, discussions of this kind have no place here.

2. NO profane language.
No profane or derogatory language please. Mild cursing is tolerated but none of the B, C or F words! Equitopia is aimed at players 13 years and over and chat will therefore be of a mature nature, but please respect the younger or more sensitive players.

3. NO fighting.
If you find yourself facing a disagreement with another player, please try to resolve the situation yourself. If this cannot be achieved, either block the player, or if you feel it justified, report them. If you participate in an argument, it will viewed as the fault of both/all players, regardless of who started it.

4. NO drama.
Equitopia should be a place we can all come to escape the worries and troubles of real life and instead, relax, enjoy and have fun. Therefore, please keep drama to a minimum and respect that this is purely a game and in no way should it actually affect your real life.

5. NO threatening/bullying/harassing/intimidating other players.
Equitopia will not tolerate any type of intimidation, bullying, harassing, threatening behaviour or hate groups.

6. NO impersonating of staff members.
Administrators and Moderators are the only people allowed to moderate the forums/game/chat. Please do not attempt to moderate another player or situation yourself, the staff will deal with it in the correct, appropriate manner.

7. NO sharing of personal information via Equitopia's site.
This includes real names, addresses and phone numbers. Email addresses, countries, states and ages are acceptable, but given solely at the player's responsibility and discretion. This is for your own personal safety, please be web aware and trust no one you meet online!

8. NO insulting the art or game.
The artists and programmers involved in this game have worked extremely hard to produce Equitopia. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, if you have nothing nice or constructive to say, please zip the lip. We understand this game will not be to everyone's taste, so if that is the case, just don't play it!

9. NO spamming.
Flooding the chat system or forum with repeated messages/symbols/letters/numbers etc is annoying to other players and not allowed.

10. NO giving out answers/clues for quizzes, quests and hunt challenges in global chat.
Players are not permitted to discuss any answers/clues to quizzes, quests or hunt challenges in the public chat system. This spoils the fun/challenge for other players who may be doing quizzes, quests or hunt challenges and wish to solve them unaided. If you need help with clues or answers, you can PM other players/friends or post in the support forum for help. Players that post clues/answers in chat will have the post removed.

11. NO chatspeak.
Shortening or abbreviating words, for example "U" instead of "You" or "2nite" instead of "Tonight" is not allowed. It is hard to understand and unfair on players who make the effort to correctly spell and punctuate their sentences. Also, English is the only language permitted to be used throughout the site.
